January 25, 2012 Burma-North Korea ties still unnerving US

Upon his return to the US from Burma, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that lifting sanctions with the country could only occur if it first broke ties with North Korea.

The Democratic Voice of Burma reported, 'McConnell underscored worries in Washington about possible ties between North Korea and Burma and said he would be “looking for verification that those relationships, if they previously existed, don’t exist any longer.”'
