The New York Times investigates the true cost of our iPhones, iPads and other products. The human rights violations in China to meet the market need for these products are well known within Apple, but it's questionable whether anything significant will be done to change the situation unless the market demands fair treatment of ALL Apple and supplier employees. “And right now, customers care more about a new iPhone than working conditions in China.”
